Welcome to 2010!! A new year and a new decade, I wonder how technology will move on between now and 2020. Just think how in 2000 we were looking at stuff like Play Station 1 and now we have 4 Tera Byte hard disks, 1080p HD TVs, Blu Ray DVD, I-Phones and HD Gaming on the X-BOX 360 and the Play Station 3. I am Interested to hear how you think things will move on between now and 2020. Also will you be calling this year twenty ten or two thousand and ten?
I’m going for Twenty Ten as this is official BBC policy, which is good enough for me.
As to where technology will go in the next 10 years, that’s a tough question. I doubt very much that we’ll be riding around in hover cars. I would think that the Peta byte (1,000 TB) hard drive will become commonplace and display technology like the Sony eBook reader will go colour. Internet streaming media may actually become mainstream.
